PDPMD Zero-Tolerance Drug Policy

At PDPMD, we are committed to maintaining a safe, productive, and drug-free workplace. To ensure the health and safety of all employees, contractors, and others working on behalf of the company, the following zero-tolerance drug policy is in effect:

  1. Prohibited Substances
The possession, use, sale, or distribution of illegal drugs, unauthorized controlled substances, or being under the influence of such substances during work hours or on company property is strictly prohibited for both employees and contractors.

  2. Prescription Drugs
Employees and contractors must notify their supervisor or PDPMD point of contact if they are using prescribed medications that may affect their ability to safely and effectively perform their duties. Misuse of prescription drugs, including distributing them to others, is prohibited.

  3. Alcohol
The consumption or possession of alcohol on company premises, during work hours, or being under the influence of alcohol while working is prohibited for all employees and contractors.

  4. Testing
PDPMD reserves the right to conduct drug and alcohol testing for both employees and contractors under the following circumstances:

    • Pre-employment or pre-engagement
    • Random testing
    • Post-accident
    • Reasonable suspicion based on observable behavior or incidents
    • Return to work after a violation of this policy
  5. Disciplinary Actions
Any violation of this policy by employees or contractors will result in immediate disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment, termination of contract, or removal from the worksite.

  6. Employee and Contractor Assistance
PDPMD encourages both employees and contractors with substance abuse issues to seek help. Voluntary disclosure before any violation occurs may lead to referral for treatment and possible return to work or assignment under strict conditions.

  7. Legal Compliance
This policy complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding drug and alcohol use in the workplace.
